this game overall is pretty decent but i have to nit-pick here. Ginasta's overuse of the term Tyrant.....she must have a very loose understanding of the term. Yes you can play the hardnose incubus but in the story the choices you make can also be fundamentally good. (trin making copies of some innocent people and such as an example) But the outcome of the more good choices improves global economy, employment, international relationships. controlled and secure immigration.....if Gin is calling that a Tyrant then she is effin stupid. Simply because someone has power, or ALOT of power does not make them a tyrant. their actions define it. Tyrants do NOT grant freedom and boost strong economies and relations between nations. they simply start wars usually and take people by force and nothing really improves there. most do different forms of slavery and in some cases genocide. i seriously feel that element in the choices in how Gin seems to approach everything really destroys any real good works he does. her own words saying even though he's doing all this good and he never dominated his harem its still a form tyranny. that to me is extremely EXTREMELY stupid.

Sorry or the book i just had to seriously vent that point of view because of the dev's misconstrued idea of tyranny. o_O
That's kinda the entire point of her character arc.

Not so sound impatient, but is this game done yet? Or will there still be added more content? I can see in the changelog they was added an epilogue.

Firstly, there will be a postgame. The opportunity to walk around the open map and see what the world turned out like as a result of your game. Secondly, there will be all sorts of edits and polishes. And thirdly, the pictures started to be drawn quite late, so there will still be a lot to draw for the scenes from the fourth and fifth chapters.

If you want to play the final, polished version, it's not there yet. I think there will still be update until the end of the year, maybe even early 2026 who knows
But current version is already high quality and has the story from beginning to end. Main missing things is image from various sex scenes in act 4&5 (though tbh by that point I didn't care about the scenes, I was in for the story) and the postgame content.
The epilogue is already there, and is a fitting conclusion. While a postgame will come, it's not like it's open ended or unfinished.

If we go off of original greek meaning, then yeah, Simon is a Tyrant.
Singular guy who has absolute power, roflstomping anyone who dares to oppose him.

Tyrant originally did not have negative connotation that it currently has
It is tricky, I think.

I don't really want to write an essay, but I'll write one or two things.
  • This game is a power-fantasy of getting things right. It is deeply organic both to the setting of the game, and the story-bits we see (decadent kingdoms, prevailing corruption, haughtiness, vast imbalance in the distribution of power).
  • 'Tyranny' in this game is used in a similar way to a current parlance: you do things willingly and forcefully, not caring about others.
  • Ginasta is meant in-game to be disproven at least in the point above. This world is a mess, and you have to be forceful to make it better. If you wish to get abstract, it is mind-maledom, but not mind-rape (sorry not sorry).
  • Ginasta's view has a grain of truth. Hence, our discussion of the greek tyrants (or of the Chicago boys, if you like to kill communists). The game do not hide it – this perspective is quite prominent, even if it is not dominant. The game do not provide you an option of backing away, renouncing your powers and such. Basically, what Ginasta says is not viable in the type of narrative we're presented with, except maybe for the finale.
  • Still, this game do not shy away from discussing these type of things.
That's basically it, I believe.

that's kind of stretch i think.

" In Ancient Greece, a "tyrant" (τύραννος, túrannos) originally meant a ruler who seized power unconstitutionally, not necessarily a cruel or oppressive one, but rather someone who ruled without traditional or legal authority "

the issue is there is a lot of that all over the world throughout history. it is how cities and civilzation's are created essentially. that's why the definition of a tyrant changed because it was how they ruled after taking control that defined whether they were a tyrant or not. sorry if missed this quote to respond faster i tend to forget to check these things and have been sidetracked with a few other vn's that caught my interest storywise.

Actually, is Sierra planning to revamp all the maps in the new style for the prologue and Stineford ? Or are those two just one offs ?

I think that nine years in the making is a pretty good tempo for a unique (as in 'there is literally not a single CRPG quite similar to it') project by a single developer – a project which tracks hundreds of variables each step of your somewhat branching playthrough taking about 100 hours to unfold, yes.

You're free to express whatever opinions you have, but I have to ask, what is your rationale for this post? I'm not quite consistent with the updates, but over the last year there's been about 15-hours of new in-game content, If I had to guess.

no excuse, what you say is simply blatantly false.
it was a significative increase in the time between release between 2020 and 2023, but not any significative reduction in content for release.

the bit about "photo" is hilarious, even beign charitable and go for "photo" = "draw image" the art started roll out very late and each release just incorporate all the images done in the release cycle, as the scene where always done in pure text at first.

I'm really glad we are reaching the final release of this game. I'll wait until everything is pretty much 100% done, but I can't believe how far they've come. Last time I played was with the 0.28 version or so... and it was super long and interesting, even back then!

Some of the new bust art.
- Simon has 3 unique sets for the memories in the Incubus Prison.
- When using synergy skills, the person with the skill will be behind the caster.
- Uyae has 3 clothing sets that I never noticed she changes in the game.
- Lilith is just a blob, taking on aspects of everyone when casting a spell.
