This was kind of like a psychological study of Uchimura's character. After everything he's proven, he got offered to be a King.

Uchimura gave the most Uchimura-like answer ever...strive to be the King and with his allies. Yeah, I think was probably the safest way for this show to end and Uchimura to answer. Good for him.

The hard-fought battle against the wyverns, sees the Demon Army claim victorious...and Uchimura succeeding Demon Overlord into becoming king?

Sure, Demon Overlord has known of Uchimura's exploits, but the low self-esteemed salaryman only laments on his past efforts which didn't bore fruit and getting the short end of the stick, so much so that it's become his trauma because of expectations that he would not have likely to meet either way.

So, with the only option to say goodbye, Uchimura writes his resignation letter as he reflects on the workplace that finally gives him a better and fulfilling life. Even with the Elite Generals having their own troubles, from Gnome having to manage both the demons and demi-humans, to Sylphid going back to her experiments, it's clear that their co-dependence on him has reaped the benefit of the doubt. Even with Ulmandra...going on her wrath of jealousy, Uchimura finally showing his weakness to her, and more than her handshake itself, the people he'd met in his life giving him the boost of much-needed confidence, it reflects upon his realization to become king, in a different way, together.

Too bad that Ulmandra will never have the romance she wanted with Uchimura...always getting cockblocked each and every time.

A decent show about business in an Isekai world, though it has its strengths and weaknesses.

It was an alright watch this season and a interesting take on the Isekai in a season staked with them.

Glad to see Uchimura beat his past demons and allow himself to strive for a new future, where he is not shackled down.

And that’s a wrap! This show was sort of up and down for me. Started out really good, fizzled out and then regained its form for the last few episodes. Didn’t get to be as good as I thought it would from the first couple episodes, but I like the fact this was basically a big rehabilitation session for a depressed salaryman who wasted too much of his life working for a shitty company!

It’s only right that a show that has constantly pushed healthy workplace culture ends on the boss(demon lord) suggesting a promotion for Uchimura. Not just for a supervisor, but KING position. Uchimura might not have realised it at first, but he has all the makings of an amazing king. He’s wise, collaborates with others and has a good heart. That’s really all it takes. What he lacks in strength, he can make up for with his planning and rely on his friends for help in that department.

Seems like just yesterday it was Uchimura cheering up Ulmandra and getting her head back in the game, now it’s her doing that for him and encouraging him to trust in everyone. “Even if the world is disappointed in you, I’ll stay by your side.” Ahhh damn it can we just get a confession already 😭 I’ll miss them sm. this show was very satisfying to watch on Mondays.

Moral of the story: Having great leadership will make your employees go above and beyond for and with the business.

I liked this series so much. Having Uchimura confront himself, is a tough call since all previous employers have been such jerks, damaging his self-esteem and making him doubt about his future... That's that moment when you sit alone in a room and think about what comes next, what would you do. Having the whole team being this nice broke him, and it would do the same to anyone in one of "those" jobs.

Being offered to be a king is quite overkill, though:

About her:

Yeah... I'm not going to lie. I wanted more of their story. But well, that was it. For me is an 8/10. So many things hit home, that's why.

2:17 one last time I get to sing along to this amazing OP 😭🙌🏻

My 2nd Winter 2025 anime finished! 🙌🏻 this was the third anime I started too this season. Once again, I love the OP for this anime. So catchy seeing all of them march along to the song. Keeping the streak going for me liking at least one song each season. Poor Ulmandra still not getting through to Uchimura’s denseness and 0% romance progress 😅 I wanted to see that harem ending tho. I like this plot of the MC going around individually to each girl and helping them out. But Sylphid is the best girl 👌🏻

In the midst of so many animes where the protagonist is a weak teenager that quickly becomes the most overpowered character, this was a breath of fresh air.
An adult with hard job challenges, facing fears and traumas step by step, and the best Maho CEO in anime history.

Raising from 7/10 to 8/10

Am I the only one who kind of expected to get more of the ending? Since this is most likely one shot anime. (as in dont expect second season).

They didnt reveal anything and we still didnt get to know if Demon King is actually yet another girl to Uchimura's harem.

What I like the most about this anime is that no one is getting killed (at least on screen)

The correct answer for Uchimura is to aim to be a prime minister, and Demon Lord can continue to be the King, but under constitution. Though I'm not sure if this Kingdom is ready for election, but I believe Uchimura can make it happen.

Season 2 please! I want to see Rampage King again.

Really enjoyed this one! I plan on picking up the manga and following the rest of the story.

The finale was a little bit of a let down. I expected a little bit more than what we got. I still throughly enjoyed it though.

I don't even know what final score to give it. On the one hand, the scenes in the bar with the bartender and music are atmospheric, the heroes and his harem are interesting, as well as the other characters. But only on these same pluses are minuses, for some reason the design of clothes and some characters changed, the story arc is not finished, and scenes in the bar is anime original.

It´s been a decent ride, however I very much doubt we´ll get a season 2. So Manga it is for the foreseeable future!

I will miss the quirky relationship between Uchimura and Ulmandra, cliche but still fun to watch.

As long as Ulmandra is in it, I'll watch a sequel.

it was pretty obvious what was gonna happen, it can be cliched that it was the power of friendship that helped carve the way to the future, but I really loved how this was done till the end it's pretty heartwarming

with Uchimura's newfound confidence, he has a proper goal in mind now and will strive to make the demon kingdom an even better place than envisioned before
Uchimura always finding a way to piss off Ulmandra till the very end too 😂

Yeah, so last week was the real finale, this one was just a pretty weird and dull recap episode unfortunately.

Here's what I thought about the series:
The plot is fairly unique, the voice acting is top notch (especially Ulmandra's VA) and the show manages to be really funny and/or interesting in some of the episodes.
Now then, it also has some dull episodes/moments imo, and the second half of the show in particular did not feel super inspired to me (whether we're talking about the plot or the comedy).

Still, I'd say the show was decent overall, I enjoyed the ride for the most part: this is the kind of show that I don't think I'll rewatch but that I don't regret watching basically.

It's hard to write for a 12 episode format. In a perfect world, this show would have probably ended much earlier. Even if there was a season 2 it doesn't seem like anything exciting is on the horizon. The end.

I am sad to see this show end, since it was so fun, entertaining, and enjoyable.

I am hoping for a second season, and even more.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Isekai fantasy stuff was bad throughout the show, but the protagonist was actually a pretty interesting character and I really liked the bar idea, it was refreshing. A few scenes looked like an isekai version of Bartender: Glass of God, lol. 5/10, which is a rather high score for a generic isekai. If there will be a second season, I'll definately watch it.

This show was perfectly mediocre for me. I gave it a 5.04

I really liked Uchimura's character. Ulmandra was also an entertaining tsundere. The premise for this show was pretty interesting in how it showed off the economical and political side of the Demon Lord's Kingdom. It just feels like they wasted a lot of potential there. Like they were afraid to dive too deep into that. Also, this one could have really benefited from a bigger budget. A lot of the character designs were pretty cool, but the animation and color palette were overwhelmingly mediocre and boring. Everything looked kind of washed out. Oh, well. It was almost something worth remembering. I probably wouldn't watch a sequel unless it was a really slow/lackluster anime season or something.

This anime was pretty good!
We got to see Uchimura grow a lot, even if he was doubting himself, at the end he found his resolve
I wonder if we'll get another season in the future, would be good to see a bit more of that story

Hmmm nothing too remarkable but still a home-y comfy anime to watch. Nothing too deep but still filled with real life insights that might just become useful for people struggling in their careers. The source manga feels the same way so if you want to follow the story further, check it out.

Uchimura finally broke those chains that restricts him, and now he's about to have way more fun than before - if he survives being constantly beaten by Ulmandra for reasons that eludes him coz he has no idea he was sending her mixed signals lol but his relationship with the other generals sure have grown significantly, and he his two subordinates adores and respect him without a doubt.

It was one of those stories where, by paying attention to the details, you can find scenes of great value.

From Uchimura's perspective, we saw both professional and personal growth.

The bar part left me with a few doubts, but I think it was a representation of his state of mind as he made every decision.

Ulmandra was my favorite, without a doubt.

I liked it.

By the end of the episode I just don't feel like I know what this anime is about anymore, it's like some romance somewhere and something else other places... I think the anime is trying to cover different kinds of emotional subjects, but ended up lacking because it's just bits here and bits there... that ending is completely useless too, probably could've gotten that far in half of the eps... :/ the art is good and all but the plot quality is just too shtty for anything

For every episode, I genuinely wondered what the hell is the bar. Could be some otherworldly magic Demon Overlord uses to allow him to cope or that he's just that mental he imagines it so hard.

I'll miss Ulmandra, she's adorable and funny. One of those fun tsundere characters.

When the anime was first announced, I thought it might be something interesting. "Veteran of corporate wars", "ruthless acrobat of the corporate ladder", "fierce hunter of the office jungle" and so on and so forth; that he will show the Demon Overlord and their ilk what the "ruthless world" of office plankton is with which all these villains plan to take over the universe, but it's not even come close.

What a fantastic final episode that actually tackles the underlying problems with character that the story has been chipping away across the narrative
