It’s really not more painful, adults are just bigger babies about it (Ironically). Adults have access to painkillers and anesthetic and such. Not to mention if something does go wrong they can communicate and fix it. As for arguments about not remembering it, I think that’s a pretty horrifying take that if you don’t remember something happening, it doesn’t really count.
As for “foreskin issues”, while not impossible, issues legitimately requiring circumcision are very rare. The sad fact is many doctors, especially in the US, have a cut first, treat later attitude. In fact many are largely ignorant about foreskins other than how to remove them!
Think of it this way humans spent millions of years evolving and spent 99.9% of that time with a foreskin without issue. Basically all mammals and most other male animals have some form of a foreskin and get along fine. Humans aren’t unique in that regard. The majority of men on the planet are uncut and live happy healthy lives.
And I’m not familiar with that Amy Schumer joke, is that meant to be ironic? Because women do have an “extra” flap of skin over their clitoris. In women it’s the clitoral hood, in men it’s the foreskin. The general name for the tissue is the prepuce, and both men and women are born with them. But I’ll note it’s illegal almost world wide to remove it from a girl, despite it being directly analogous to male circumcision. (There are more serious forms of female genital mutilation more akin to removing the head of a penis or the entire penis, but it’s all outlawed under the same blanket FGM laws. And rightly so. )
