John Lydon is the epitome of the Rebel in all of us and yet he's a gentlemen and saint in his own right... He was devoted to his wife and took care of her solely till she passed. I love that bastard! ❤❤❤❤❤
I was at this gig, f***ing awesome..still one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I'm now the wrong side of 60 and this still makes me wanna get up and 'go for it'
I'm 60 years old but I remember my punk days like yesterday. I actually wore a black bin bag on one night out. When you're a teenager you look great in anything. Black nail varnish and all the rest. Fun days.
I was looking up some old records and saw someone had given Johnny Rotten faint praise. It's a free country and they can say that but for me this a nice diet of noise. We like it, it's what we wanna do. So goddamn Vacant!!!
Even though there is no trademark solo, you can instantly tell its Mr Eddie Van Halen at the helm....unique tone and technique, Hendrix was the pioneer and set the bar, but in my opinion EVH at the very least equalled it.
Não tinha internet só a vontade da criatividade contra os padrões da época sou desse tempo 😊gritar em final de semana, hoje vejo gente sem ideologia e tente entender mas não 😂sou original 🎸💕
I was at this gig and and remember a Sid look alike walking pass me who looked so similar to Sid that I thought I was seeing things, I believe he was the bass player for The Sex Pistols Experience covers band
Let’s be honest there was some great music back in those days.We all liked people like Gary Glitter and Jimmy Savile because we didn’t know any different.
For anyone who was there I'm curious. With only one album to their credit, and assuming they played every song, how long was the show? Did they do any other material?
What a great song, and that fabulous roaring sound. The attitude - the originality - wish I was there in the 70s
Wish we could've had a go pro.😎
I was mate and it was fantastic.
Noise like a 747 taking off and just as iconic and brilliant
Steve Jones
Enough said
Just think about it
It was brilliant

His breaking down in tears to Philip Scholfield and Holly Willoughby when talking about this was heartbreaking
@@laurih.t.8723 and he had the balls to speak out about Jimmy savile but noone listened to him.
These guys are the real deal. Punk in its purest, best form
Absolutely. Well said.
Well said my friend thank you for your time and have a great day today buddy
lol
Agree. But in 2023 ? not so much. The young are silent.
Well of course they are the real deal they are one of the original Punk bands
The greatest intro in the history of rock by a country mile... Steve Jones guitaring is so tight, and that Les Paul tone 👌 👏
Johnny's voice is still awesome to this day 👍
Yeah. I think he was around 50 - 51 here
@@bluepez57Cool.

@@manskullman6509 You got that right, brother! As Johnny Rotten in S.P or John Lydon in P.I.L, Johnny's a legendary artist 🎤🎵🎸

Maybe you're on the right side age wise! I'm 49 and would have loved to see this!
@danlunt2933 I love the fact that the Sex Pistols music is still being loved by all ages. I guess I grew up in the right era for music

To this day I still look at a woman and think 'she would look just as good wearing a bin liner' Thats the acid test to this day.
I hear you -- props. At the same time, yours is definitely a woman's take on punk. Men rarely think of it as "fun" . . .
yes this was a great performance .it blew my fucking mind! I want first row if they ever tour again
La mejor banda de punk de todos los tiempos, con 69 años muchas noches antes de dormir escucho alguno de sus temas.
There oughta be a movie about this band. They stuck to their ideals and had their own story to tell.
One of my preferred songs
Was at this gig. One of two at Brixton Academy.
Best band on the planet
The most influential band since the beatles
Lovely to see Glen back with them, people never realised what a great bass player he was. Blonde knew though
Truly amazing musician .
@@harveysmith100 How could anyone like Sid ? He was an idiot who could not play the bass!! Could Sid sing ? Not at all!! He was sic...! Jon Fisher
Fantastic energy!
If ever you want a song to define a period in time this is it. Oh and probably the best band name ever.
This is why this band are the best PUNK band in history this right here
Great night,so glad to be taken as a guest of a very good friend. Many thanks to Michael.

No one els could turn 2 chords into a masterpiece except Lydon

The sex pistols had self destruction tattooed on their hearts ,unfortunately, the relibelious nature that gave them succes eventually destroyed them

The Rock is right here. Always
I'm telling my grandchildren that this is dads rock... they went very quiet
Right. Pulling rank . . . is an under-appreciated satisfaction of old age.
3:06 I see Syd in audience.
Not Sid
@j700jam4 He just reminded me of him.
a live performance audiense shouting and they are rocking and rolling on stage will you like to sing along ? must say bravo bravo Bravissimo ☆☆☆☆☆☆

There's a guy in the audience wearing a suit and tie, and another guy who is a dead ringer for Sid Vicious.
