It was only a rumor , confirmed to be false.
For some reasons , a lot of people want an Arc like that , and it was already the case when the Manga was still running.

That's... not really true... It was only a few panels after the graduation , that the Author did to end the Webcomics in 2008. You can read them on MangaDex. Dunno when , but the Author started the Webcomics again , to do some "Omake chapters". (That are still being released nowadays) They are basically just the characters' daily lives during the middle of the story. A lot of them have been adapted into the Manga. |

That's... not really true...
It was only a few panels after the graduation , that the Author did to end the Webcomics in 2008.
You can read them on MangaDex.
Dunno when , but the Author started the Webcomics again , to do some "Omake chapters". (That are still being released nowadays)

It's more believable to be friendship.

You can think that it'll be a romantic relationship if you want , but nothing hint that...
The 4 parents are friends , and Hori & Sengoku were childhood friends... Looks like a "Look , even their kids are friends !" thing.
