@Shikkakku Well, you can rest easy knowing that there's enough material for a season 2 already, and that this is a gigantic hit so huge that it is amongst the highest TV ratings in Japan weekly at the moment (only behind the usual top 3, Sazae-san, Maruko-chan and Conan).

Everybody could cast basic defensive spell that Ubel cant cut. Combine this with her 5 meters range you get that everyone with solid long range attack is present grave danger to Ubel
Her real OP power is ability to copy magic threw empathising with people

Peak animation is peak. What a beautiful episode. Only to end with a funny Mimic trapping Frieren.


Anyway, the flashbacks were usually about Himmler and others, but this time, it's about Übel's killing that mage. If she can beat Sense, there's no telling the evil (übel) she will do in the future.

@Ventus_S damn, just said if you don't understand the series. you guys have 0 attention span that you guys able to forget everything easily. warrior was needed because the party needs tank. if it's just 2 mage, they can get easily defeated by someone who have magic resistance (the dragon for example). also frieren defense was good, but again, it only work best against magic attack. that's why someone who has the capabilities to control natural thing has a good perks like richter. because the magic shield was create to defense against magic, not pure force (dragon slam would probably shatter frieren defense).

there's a reason why the party that defeat demon king need 2 warrior. because the warrior was there to protect frieren when she's in most vulnerable state.

Ubel is such a badass.

Frieren's clone intercepts Fern's Zoltraak, leading to a prolonged struggle. Meanwhile, other mages have divided into groups for better matchups. Sacrificing herself, Frieren creates an opportunity for Fern to land a fatal blow on the clone. Despite the clone's powerful counterattack, Frieren seizes the chance to finish it with Zoltraak. With the clone defeated, the seal on the door shatters, and Frieren triumphs over Spiegel, concluding the exam.

Seems like a big part of magic is just believing you can do something, but there's a big difference between saying it and truly believing it. Glad we found out about Ubel's test. It was strange they let her retake it after she accidentally killed one of their teachers. Then there's Wirbel, who never seems tired after fights because he always sits down when talking. I love how Fern quietly helps Frieren inside the mimic. She's a quick learner from her teacher.

It's funny that the first thing Frieren goes for in the final room is the mimic. Never change, Frieren.
